Will McDaniel joined the eLynx team in 2024 as an intern and was promoted to a full-time Field Services Technician in 2026. With a background in automation, controls, and residential electrical work, Will supports customers through field installations, troubleshooting, and application configuration, helping ensure the reliable operation of critical monitoring and automation systems.
In his role at eLynx, Will works across both field services and customer support, assisting with system installations, troubleshooting, image views, tagging, and application configuration. His combination of hands-on technical expertise and familiarity with the eLynx platform allows him to support customers both in the field and behind the scenes. Whether he’s traveling to customer sites throughout Oklahoma and Texas or helping build customized views within the application, Will enjoys finding practical solutions that help customers get the most out of their systems.
Will studied Automation and Control at Texas State Technical College in Marshall, Texas. Before joining eLynx, he worked in residential electrical services, developing the technical foundation that now supports his work in automation and field operations.
As a third-generation member of the industry, Will has a unique connection to eLynx. His grandfather, Ray McDaniel, played an instrumental role in the company's early vision, making Will’s decision to join eLynx both a professional opportunity and a continuation of a family legacy. His transition from intern to full-time team member reflects his commitment to carrying that legacy forward while serving customers across the region.
When he’s not working, Will enjoys fly fishing, tying his own flies, training in jiu-jitsu, and staying active. He can often be found traveling in search of new waters, pursuing trout and other unique catches along the way.
When asked what he enjoys most about eLynx, Will shared:
“The people. eLynx feels like a family, and that’s one of the biggest reasons I wanted to stay after my internship. Being able to continue a family legacy while working alongside such a close-knit team makes it a great place to be.”
