eLynx Continues to Save Time, Dollars for Clients Despite High Gas Prices, Remote Locations

TULSA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tulsa-based eLynx Technologies, one of the country's leading providers of remote well monitoring systems, continues to benefit its clients with both increased labor and time efficiency. With the average field operator overseeing 50 wells, mileage could be up to 200 miles per day at $2.80 a gallon.

"Before we started using eLynx, we were driving to every location every day, sometimes several times a day, to get readings, which was very costly and inefficient," said Todd Davis, SCADA/Measurement Manager for Hanna Oil and Gas. "Now we can operate by exception and go where we need to go first thing in the morning."

Founded in the 70s, Hanna began developing oil and gas in the mid-Arkansas area. The company now produces gas from Texas through Montana and into Canada. eLynx has utilized ScadaLynx, a Web-based product that remotely measures oil and gas production.

Branded as the ultimate solution for product automation and data management, ScadaLynx has also proven to be a tremendous success for OGS Pipline. Headquartered in Houston, the company operates a low pressure gas gathering and compression system in the Barnett Shale area west of Fort Worth. "We use eLynx Technologies to monitor a 16-mile section of pipe in a remote area of West Texas," said Roy Brehm, president of OGS Pipeline. "We have been able to find all of our lost and unaccounted-for gas, reduce our weekend on-call staff from 3 to 1, and have the ability identify problem areas without spending hours behind the windshield."

Since 2000, eLynx Technologies has provided real-time data collection, production reporting, trending, well monitoring and control via the Internet for the oil and gas industry. The company services more than 215 exploration and production companies and operates in more than 20 states. Headquartered in Tulsa, eLynx also has support offices in Denver, Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma City and Carthage, Texas.
