MeterDOC: eLynx's Well Data and Downtime Solution

TULSA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2003--eLynx Technologies of Tulsa announces MeterDOC, a well monitoring breakthrough for the natural gas industry. MeterDOC provides a reliable and cost- effective path for transmitting well information from an electronic flow meter (EFM) to the eLynx Data Center, replacing the need for poll response software. The information retrieved may include current flow, previous day's production, spot and differential pressure, and temperature.

In addition to data retrieval, MeterDOC uses the digital overhead channel to provide real- time call-out to alert the client of user configurable alarms including high- line pressure or well downtime. Once the information is routed to the Data Center, alarms are immediately directed to personnel via pager, e-mail or mobile phone and the data is stored for client retrieval via the Internet "MeterDOC is revolutionary because it allows producers to see their current data instantly, as well as get immediate notification when a well is down, "said John Powers, vice president for eLynx Technologies. "The amount of time and money MeterDOC saves the producers is unbeatable by any current method available for retrieving well data."

With simple installation, MeterDOC provides EFM data without requiring host software and eliminates the need to rent or construct communications towers. Using a serial connection, it can communicate with most types of EFM's including Fisher ROC meters 503 and 103, the ABB Total Flow X- series and 6213, Bristol Babcock's TeleFlow, the Autopilot from Flow Automation. The coverage is nationwide and the reliability is unmatched by any other remote communication solutions. MeterDOC consumes a very small amount of power and can typically be added to existing EFM installations without having to invest in additional solar panel and batteries.

MeterDOC is one of several products in eLynx' product line, including the CompressorDOC and TankDOC which provide producers with real- time alarming, reducing compressor downtime and preventing costly tank spills.
