CompressorDOC: eLynx's Shutdown Alarming Solution

TULSA, Okla--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 2003--eLynx Technologies announces CompressorDOC, one of several Internet-based monitoring solutions available from eLynx engineered specifically for the oil and gas industry. CompressorDOC is designed to prevent lost production due to extended compressor downtime. Utilizing state of the art proprietary alarming technology authorized personnel are rapidly informed when a compressor is down.

CompressorDOC is comprised of a solar panel and battery power package, which powers a communication device that transmits data from the compressor to the eLynx Data Center. Using digital overhead channel technology, once an alarm is received by eLynx a message is simultaneously issued to the producer's personnel by e-mail, mobile phone or pager.

Via the Internet, producers view relevant data including current compressor status, weekly and monthly runtime percentage calculations, run hours, down hours. Additional drill downs provide more specific information for each compressor including alarm history duration and device data history. All data can be accessed on the secure eLynx Web site with a password.

"Just a few hours of compressor downtime can amount to hundreds of dollars worth of lost production," said John Powers, vice president of eLynx Technologies. "Our customers understand that by using CompressorDOC they have far greater monitoring control over their compressor than they ever did before, which saves time and money."
