eLynx Provides MeterLynx Solution to United Oil Corporation

TULSA, Okla., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- eLynx Technologies, a Web-based field automation company, is currently providing its MeterLynx solution to United Oil Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Credo Petroleum Corporation. United is using MeterLynx's demand scan function over the Internet to monitor points and to receive current flow rates, pressures, temperatures, etc. eLynx solutions give clients the ability to both read values from and write values to electronic flow meters from the Internet using their live data and control feature.

MeterLynx allows gatherers and producers to continually access numerous facets of their data on the Web. Since the system is custom built for individual client specifications, MeterLynx is able to monitor all of the varied aspects of their meters. Monitoring includes pressures, volumes, tank levels, plunger lift, temperature readings, etc. This information is updated several times daily and then averaged at the end of each month for straightforward analysis.

An alarm callout system notifies personnel via pager, mobile phone or e-mail when a component is down. MeterLynx uses high bandwidth communications to transmit data from the meter back to the eLynx Data Center for uploading onto the site. The system uses 128-bit encryption and a password is required for access, therefore data is exceptionally safe.
