eLynx Named Outsourced SCADA Provider

TULSA, Okla., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- eLynx Technologies has recently become the outsourced SCADA provider for Denver-based St. Mary Land and Exploration Company. St. Mary is using eLynx's MeterLynx, which is an exceptionally detailed remote data service available via the Internet for the oil and gas industry.

MeterLynx allows producers to continuously access their real-time well data on the Web. Each system is custom configured for the client's specifications; therefore MeterLynx is able to monitor all of the varied aspects of their operations. Monitoring includes analysis and alarming for flow rates, pressures, tank levels, plunger lift, temperature readings, etc. This information can be updated several times daily and then exported to internal production accounting systems either daily or at the end of each month.

MeterLynx also has an alarm callout system that notifies personnel via pager, mobile phone or e-mail when a well is down. MeterLynx uses high bandwidth radio and satellite communications to transmit data from the well site to the eLynx Data Center for uploading to the Web site. The system uses 128-bit encryption and requires a password for access, making the data very secure.
