eLynx Provides MeterDOC Solution for Classic Oil and Gas

A, Okla., Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- eLynx Technologies, a Web-based field automation company, provides its MeterDOC solution to Texas-based Classic Oil and Gas.

MeterDOC provides real-time meter data on the Internet, which can be accessed by producers from anywhere in the world. The solution reports on previous day's gas flow, accumulated monthly volume, spot flow pressures, temperatures, tank levels, etc. It also has alarm technology that will notify personnel via pager, e-mail or cell phone when there is a shutdown of any kind.

"We were looking for a monitoring device for our meters to use in conjunction with the pipelines," said Larry Tschirhart, vice president of operations for Classic Oil and Gas. "eLynx was well-known in the area so we decided to give it a try. It is working great."

The communication technology in MeterDOC can be used anywhere, which eliminates the costly engineering associated with installing radio and cellular solutions. Also, MeterDOC is compatible with all major brands of flow computers such as ABB TotalFlow, Flow Automation, Fisher, Eagle Research, and Bristol Babcock. The device has a minimal power requirement; therefore hardware costs are low.

eLynx customizes its products for each client and uses a 128-bit encryption program, which is very secure and requires an authorized password every time the site is accessed.
