eLynx Signs Contract With Falcon Gas Storage

TULSA, Okla., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- eLynx Technologies, a Web-based field automation company in Tulsa, recently signed an agreement with Falcon Gas Storage, a gas storage company based in Houston, Texas.

"Real time metering data is a must in the storage industry," said Carl Oelze, vice president of operations at Falcon Gas Storage. "We went with eLynx because of their reputation for reliability and service. It was the best fit."

The terms of the contract include eLynx monitoring Falcon's two metering stations for their underground storage facility in Eastland County near Cisco, Texas. Using SCADA application, eLynx will dial into Falcon's remote terminal unit (RTU) approximately every 30 minutes. The information gathered will include flow rate, pressure, static pressure, energy, previous day's energy, etc.

eLynx will also provide alarm callout systems that will notify personnel via pager, cellular phone or e-mail if a problem occurs pertaining to the station's pressures and flow.

"We will basically be providing a window into their system," said John Powers, vice president of eLynx Technologies. "This is information that is invaluable to a company such as theirs and we are very pleased to be providing it for them."
