eLynx Technologies Helps Zinke & Trumbo Increase Production, Efficiency

TULSA, Okla. (Dec. 14, 2001) -- Tulsa-based Zinke & Trumbo began working with eLynx Technologies more than a year ago in order to automate the collection of its production data on a number of its operated wells. Prior to involvement with eLynx, the company had to react to historical production data provided by its Pumpers every eight days to manage its production. With technology provided by eLynx, Zinke & Trumbo is able to receive real-time information about its wells and take immediate action to solve situations (i.e. liquid loading and nomination variances) before they become problems. "We provide our clients with customized solutions to their problems," said Chad Miller, director of business development for eLynx Technologies. "For Zinke & Trumbo, we gave them a way to get information about their wells on a timely basis so that they could be proactive rather than reactive in dealing with well production problems." Zinke & Trumbo now has approximately 15 Red Fork wells automated by eLynx Technologies. These long-lived wells typically produce from reservoir rock that is considered tight." They also have a condensate yeild that can cause significant liquid loading problems. With real-time information from eLynx, Zinke & Trumbo has been able to monitor its wells more precisely, deal with problems such as liquid loading on a more timely basis and thus produce its wells more efficiently.

"eLynx allows us to monitor our wells on a real-time basis," said Bob Zinke, President of Zinke & Trumbo. "Since automating our wells, we have improved efficiency and increased daily production by 20 to 25 percent." eLynx's Web-based automation technology also has resulted in Zinke & Trumbo being able to eliminate concerns with respect to tariff penalties initiated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). "We now have constant access to information about our wells and can make very accurate predictions on how much gas we will produce each month," Zinke said. "We can adjust our nominations throughout the month to ensure that they are accurate and avoid fines." Zinke & Trumbo, located at 1202 East 33rd St. in Tulsa, was founded in 1980. The company operates, explores, drills and produces wells in Canada, North Dakota, the Mid-Continent, the Texas Gulf Coast, the Louisiana Gulf Coast, the Ft. Worth Basin and Gulf of Mexico Offshore.
