eLynx Technologies Highlighted in Keynote at Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference
Predictive Analytics and Optimization Bolstered by Move To Microsoft Azure
TULSA, OKLAHOMA AND TORONTO, CANADA: eLynx Technologies was highlighted at Microsoft’s annual Worldwide Partner Conference during the keynote speech delivered by Judson Althoff, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Commercial Business. eLynx showcased its SCADALynx software and its features available to oil and gas producers. SCADA is an industry term for supervisory control and data acquisition. The eLynx software allows customers to monitor production equipment, including gauges, meters, pumps, and tanks in real-time, leveraging the 24/7 global delivery of Microsoft’s Azure IoT Technology. In Azure, the data can undergo continual analysis for patterns that can improve well production or prevent equipment failure.
“eLynx is committed to Azure, which makes our presence in the keynote even more of an honor,” said eLynx President and CEO Stephen Jackson on being called up onstage by Microsoft’s Judson Althoff during the keynote. “We will use Azure IoT Technology to provide cloud access to customer’s data. This will also allow eLynx the opportunity to research and develop models used to predict outcomes allowing our clients to make more informed decisions.”
eLynx is able to gather clients’ well production data within Azure, where Microsoft’s Cortana Intelligence Suite helps eLynx and its customers identify and predict equipment and production issues before they surface. SCADALynx software then provides views and alerts to notify operators about potential issues before they become problems.
“With SCADALynx’s move to Azure IoT Technology, we are able to leverage the cloud-based resources necessary to advance the practical use of the digital oil field,” said Ryan McDonald, eLynx CIO, who joined Althoff on stage with his client, SM Energy. “Utilizing tools like SCADALynx in conjunction with Azure allows our clients to turn raw data into actionable information. Not only are they able to track their business, but they are also able to apply predictive analytics to optimize production.”
This ability to look ahead provides an opportunity for operators to deploy their resources more strategically and optimize their assets. Operators now have the ability to capture massive amounts of data from virtually every type of equipment in the field.
The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference brings together over 15,000 attendees from around the globe for a week of networking and learning—all with the goal of increasing partner profitability and accelerating business growth.
